Football Stars of Tomorrow Episode Six on Fox Sports this Friday

The sixth installment of award winning grassroots football television program Football Stars of Tomorrow has been confirmed for Friday, September 4th 2009, 4pm on Fox Sports.
The sixth installment of award winning grassroots football television program Football Stars of Tomorrow has been confirmed for Wednesday, September 2nd 2009, 3.30pm on Fox Sports highlighting the TeleChoice Championship Series Major Semi Final between Sydney United v Sutherland Sharks.
The Fox Sports segment will feature the special clash which the Sutherland Sharks took out in amazing circumstances winning 3-2 against Sydney United to advance to the 2009 TeleChoice Premier League Grand Final.
This week Football Stars of Tomorrow catches up with Blackburn FC and Socceroo midfielder Vince Grella in the North West of England to talk about football in Italy, England and with the Socceroos. Grella also provides insight into his time with the AIS and the difficult move from Australia to Europe to follow his dream.
Football Stars of Tomorrow this week features a story on North West Sydney Koalas trio Alissa Bass, Annika Clayton and Natalie Tobin. Australian U/14 representatives, the girls recently participated in the Festival of Football tournament in Vietnam. The girls were also part of the undefeated NSW team which participated at the National Championships in Canberra earlier this year.
This week’s celebrity shoot-out participant is ABC Radio commentator Adam Spencer. Spencer coaches the Sydney University All Age Women’s team and is an avid supporter of the round ball game.
‘Goals for Grassroots’ this week highlight’s Pacific Pines Football Club in Queensland. Only three years old, the club already has amassed 26 teams. Shane Walton; President of the club, received the $1,000 cheque courtesy of Hyundai from Gold Coast United pair Joel Porter and Scott Higgins.
‘Star of the Week’ this week features Beryl Woodfin from the Queens Park Football Club in Perth. Woodfin has been involved with the club since 1971 and now has a pavilion at the ground named after her family. Queens Park Football Club this year celebrated its 100 year anniversary.
In ‘Coaches Corner’, Paul Bentvelzen is again joined by Sydney FC’s Steve Corica to this week demonstrate the fake pass.
‘Goal of the Week’ this week features three excellent goals from Jack Gibson (Michelton Club – Brisbane), Sam O’Conner (Castle Hill – Sydney) and Own Littlewood (Blacktown Spartans – Sydney).
